Hi...
This is something I am writing because one of my friend compelled me to do so.As everyone of us have a best friend even I have one.I can't name him because he does not likes it. We were together in our schooling days and got separated only when it came to college. Soon our ways to life changed and he went to Mumbai for studies and I was destined for Pune and after trying for nearly 3 years I went to Mumbai to enjoy with him.
I was happy and had great time with him.I played,laughed,ate and have done everything with him and what I can say is I've seen life with him for those 4 days....After living with him and meeting different kinds of people I developed the following ideology.I don't know whether its right or wrong but I strongly believe in it now.
"Be yourself wherever you go..." yes it was he who made me realize that we should not fake things neither should we try to pretend something..so alas be whatever you are.I have this bad habit of being like the people with whom I am..he taught me to put forward your point if you don't believe in what others have to say.Make it to express yourself if you disagree with what others have to say.
So,finally he taught me which I've heard somewhere...
"Its your life,
live it your way,
don't ever be in the dogma of what others think of you,
just do things as you wish to do without thinking
what people will say..."
Finally what he taught me is to believe in yourself. Don't be afraid or don't give up if others don't share the
picture as you do.If you believe in what you are doing and know that what you're doing is right just go for it even if you are alone. At least alas you won't regret that you have not tried it just because others say
YOU CAN'T...........
So it was same as the lesson taught Will Smith in Pursuit of Happiness.....

What I did to manage windows startup programs....
The problem I was facing was I've installed too many applications on my system and thus it took longer time for booting thereby frustating me like any other user.So, I tried to manage them and tried avoiding the automatic start of unwanted softwares on each boot.For some of them I managed by changing the individual settings but for some it was difficult to find the required settings to be changed.
So after searching for a while and discussions with some of my technically sound friends I found the following solution.Actually its not a solution but it gives the common platform to manage settings of all your installed applications..so try using following steps....here they go....
1.Type msconfig in run option from start menu and hit ok
2.Select startup sub-menu
3.Uncheck the application you do not want to start on boot
4.Apply the settings and click OK
5.Restart the system if asked
It worked for me and I hope for you too.....(this is for windows xp OS)

Solution for uploading photos........
Hi...
I was trying to upload pics in my facebook account.I've downloaded some from google but due to some problem was unable to save them so I created a file in paint and saved pics in it in (.BMP) format but when I browsed through facebook for selecting,it did'nt show me the paint file.After searching for a while I got to know that to upload,the file should be in (.JPEG) format and not (.BMP)
So simply open the file -> goto 'file' menu and select option 'save as' -> select 'save type as' =(.JPEG)....
Finally was haappy to upload my images...:)

I was in college practical when I was bored as usual...:) and I started discussing other stuffs with my colleague to learn something new.He should me how to create icons for your favorite websites so that you can visit them at just a click as we open any application.Here are the steps to do so...

µTorrents settings that I was not knowing....
Hello friends,
As engineering students with internet connection at hand the most important job for us is to download the movies and other stuffs.
µTORRENT plays an important role in it.....:)as it allows resuming the paused downloads ,scheduling them,auto-shutdown feature and many more....
One day I was discussing with one of my friend that it does not allows to queue up the downloads so with multiple downloads working it takes a lot of time to complete it or the other choice is to manually pause and start the downloads which I don't like.He then gave me the solutions with couple of settings...here they are....
Start µtorrent downloader -->goto options-->preferences-->queueing-->make maximum number of active downloads/torrents=1...and problem is solved..:)

Its simple...but do you know it ???

I learned some of the simple things from one of my friend which I would like to share with you....
Just create a folder and try to name it "con" and there is a surprise for you...You can't name a folder with that name,the reason I don't know and of-course if you know it please let me know....:)
Second one is as simple as the first one.It allows you to automatically write date&time to the text file you are working on i.e whenever you make a change to your file it appends the current date and time at that place.All you need to do is just write ".LOG" at the beginning of your file.This should be in capitals and it won't work for lower case letters.You need to write only the text and not the double quotes,I have used it to just highlight it...:)

Removing Internet Explorer from XP system...
One of my friends asked me "How can you remove Internet Explorer from windows XP?"
This was the question asked to him in one of the interviews.
I gave it a thought to know that it does not have any option in Control Panel-->Add or remove programs
So after searching on google I learned that:
Internet Explorer is used by Windows XP for a number of processes in addition to web browsing, making it more of a part of the operating system than just a browser and thus it is nearly impossible to remove safely.
Thus,removing IE causes too many problems to be worth it
Even though removing Internet Explorer isn't a wise option, you most certainly "safely disable"
Internet Explorer and use your alternative browser as the one and only way to access the Internet
on your Windows XP PC.
Here is how you can disable Internet Explorer in Windows XP:
1.Navigate to the Control Panel by clicking on Start, followed by Control Panel
2.In the Control Panel window, open Add or Remove Programs.
3.In the Add or Remove Programs window, click on the Set Program Access and Defaults button
on the menu on the left.

I was trying to find,how to download the youtube and facebook videos?
So after googling a bit I came across a new software IDM i.e Internet Download Manager.Its easy to use and also accelerates your download speed.After installing IDM you simply get a DOWNLOAD THIS VIDEO option each time you play a video on sites like facebook or youtube(I've tried these,there might be some others too) so simply by clicking on this option you can download videos.It also allows to add downloads in a queue so that you can download them later.
If you are a Torrent user,you might be knowing the importance of play and pause of downloads.This feature is also supported by IDM so that you don't need to download videos all over again if some interrupt has occurred.
So next time don't buffer tour videos simply download them :)

Hello friends! Here I am writing back after a long time.Here is an anti-frustation software for you.
I was just browsing through google searching for some new softwares,and here's the one I got.As name suggests it won't decrease your frustation on anything instead it would surely reduce your frustation with your computer system.It tells you the time required for your system to boot and allows you to manage the applications that are to be loaded while booting.Thus by removing the applications which you don't require you can effectively reduce your boot time.Try it,I found it effective.....

Problem while installing Ubuntu 10.04
Image via WikipediaUbuntu is totally free and i got a CD officially which is free of cost.It provides some options such as you can make a tour through the CD and can have an experience of the linux OS.
One of its best features is that it allows you to install the OS inside windows just as you install one of your application softwares.Being user friendly,I did the same but on booting through UBUNTU option,i got the following error:
"Installer encountered an unrecoverable error and will now reboot"
I was pretty sad due to it,but after referring various sources i got to know that sometimes after using your HDD for a long time,some bad clustors gets developed on your HDD. Ubuntu uses 'ext4' and 'swap' file systems unlike your normal Windows 'NTFS'.Sometimes this also creates problems.
So,i deleted one of my drive to create free space and after booting through the CD selected 'Use continous available free space for installation' option and installed ubuntu successfully on this free space.
Hope this may help you someday,sometime.....:)

I asked him where he was going fishing and he said down the coast.
I said he would probably need a boat, so I took him down to the boat department and sold him that twenty foot schooner with the twin engines. Then he said his Volkswagen probably wouldn't be able to pull it, so I took him to the car department and sold him the new Deluxe Cruiser"
The boss took two steps back and asked in astonishment, "You sold all that to a guy who came in for a fish hook!".
"No" answered the salesman, "he came in to buy a box of Sanitary napkins for his wife and I said to him, "Your weekend's screwed anyway, you might as well go fishing."

USB 2.0 Problem....
Hello friends!
After a long vacation,I finally got my PC to work with.I was really excited to work on it.After starting my system,I discovered that none of my USB devices are working.I tried using 'HELP AND SUPPORT CENTER' but was unable to solve the problem.So I finally re-installed all my system drivers using motherboard CD and my problem was solved.

Uninstalling AVG Antivirus...
Recently I installed AVG antivirus on my windows xp system.Due to some reasons tried uninstalling it but was unable to do so.Best solution to solve your problem then is to use google.So after much googling I got this solution.Hope it might help you some day...
How to uninstall AVG:
- Download AVG uninstall/cleanup utilty and run it ( if running Vista or Windows 7: remember to right-click on it and choose "Run as Administrator"):
For 32 bit Windows versions avgremover.exe
For 64 bit Windows versions avgremoverx64.exe
Also available.... 32 bit & 64 bit archive http://www.avg.com/filedir/util/support/avgremover_en.exe
If is not possible to download any file (they disappear after download), please remove this file from AVG program folder "C:\Program Files\AVG\AVG8\avgoff2k.dll" (for 64bit systems "C:\Program Files (x86)\AVG\AVG8\avgoff2k.dll") and check the download again.
Please be informed that AVG remover must be finished completely - sometimes stopping of AVG services (for example AvgMfx) takes more time.
- After restart please remove these folders*:

My Inspiration...SRK...
This is for the man I admire,thats,Shahrukh Khan...
Gauri is indeed the luckiest woman who is married to a person like Shah Rukh, He is not only a great actor, but he has a great respect for women and can't hurt them or let them being hurt at any cost.
Shah Rukh khan is a blessed person and he makes sure that every women around him, never gets ill-treated. He greatly obliges to his female fans, he signs autographs for them, poses for pictures and throws his dimpled smile on them. He makes sure that women around him get most of the attention and care.
There are many other examples to prove his respect for women. Shah Rukh is extremely caring and protective for women and his wife, Gauri and he have made a rule in their house 'Mannat'.
The actor himself reveals, "Gauri and I want the female workers of the house to feel at ease when they are working. We thus make sure that on few floors the men workers of the house are not allowed as the women shouldn't feel conscious when they get up in the morning and start working."
In another incident, during a press conference, Shah Rukh drove away the photographers and when the actor's body guards did the same, he ordered them not to hurt any of the female crowd.
The examples shows, apart from being a great actor, a great father and an extremely loving husband, he also forms a great human being.

Hey friends here is an easy way to share photographs with others.
1. Install 'PICASA' and scan computer for images.
2. Goto FILE menu and select 'ADD FOLDER TO PICASA' option.
3. Select the folder with images to share.
4. Right click the folder in picasa and select 'UPLOAD TO WEB ALBUM' option.
5. Login to the web album.
6. Select either create a web album/add to existing album option.
7. Open the web album and just send the LINK to your friends.
Your photographs are shared.With this you just need to give the Link to others instead of mailing the photos which is an easier and faster way to share photos.

Registry Booster.....
Recently i was using 'REGISTRY BOOSTER' which is a software that removes all the registry entries from your system.The problem was to make it full version to activate all the features.
Here are the steps...
1. Go to the folder containing the setup files.
2. Extract all the compressed files and copy it to the registry folder.
3. Repeat the same procedure for each of the compressed files.

Antivirus problem
After using an anti-virus for about a month,I uninstalled it.
It removed the entry from control panel but was showing the scan option on right click.
It used to hang the system.
Here is a solution for the same....
1. Go to registry editor by writing regedit in run command of start menu.
2. Delete the registry entries of the anti-virus.
